I did my PhD in Biochemistry with major in Human Molecular Genetics. I enjoyed almost eight years? as a graduate researcher in Human Molecular Genetics Lab, Quaid-I-Azam University, Pakistan. During my doctorate research I investigates the genetic cause of skin, nails, hair and microcephalic disorders in 20 consanguineous families exhibiting Mendalian Inheritance Patterns. I used Sanger Sequencing and Whole Exome Sequencing Approach in my research to determine the single gene defects. Currently I am working as an Assistant Professor at Biochemistry Department, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, where my focus is on research along with teaching of core subjects of Biochemistry/Molecular biology at MS and BS level.
